Questions

Good to know before you begin.

The things people most often ask before their first session. Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out — we're happy to help.

Getting started
How do I get started?
Fill out our short Get Matched form. A member of our team reviews it and pairs you with a clinician who fits your needs, then sends you a link to book your first session — usually within 48 hours.
How are therapists matched?
A real person on our team reads your intake and considers your focus areas, preferences, format, and budget — then matches you with the clinician best suited to support you. It's never an algorithm.
What if the match isn't right?
Fit matters more than anything. If your first clinician isn't the right one, tell us and we'll rematch you — no awkwardness, no starting the whole process over.
Insurance & fees
Do you take my insurance?
We're in-network with several major plans listed on our pricing page. If we're out-of-network for you, we provide superbills you can submit for reimbursement, and we offer a sliding scale.
What does a session cost?
Licensed therapists are $180/session and associate clinicians are $110/session, with sliding-scale spots from $60. Your initial consult is free. Full details live on the Pricing & Insurance page.
What's a superbill?
It's an itemized receipt for your sessions. If we're out-of-network for you, you pay up front and submit the superbill to your insurer for partial reimbursement, based on your plan's out-of-network benefits.
Sessions & logistics
In person or virtual?
Both. Many of our clinicians offer secure video sessions, and we have in-person availability at our Los Angeles office. You'll choose your preference when you get matched.
How long are sessions, and how often?
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes, weekly or biweekly. Couples and family sessions usually run 60 minutes. Your therapist will find a cadence that works for you.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel without a fee. Your clinician will go over the specifics with you at your first session.
Privacy & records
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Your sessions are confidential and your records are kept securely, with the limited legal exceptions your clinician will explain up front. Scheduling and payments are handled separately from your clinical record.
Do you see minors?
Several of our clinicians work with teens and families. When you get matched, let us know who the therapy is for and we'll pair you with someone experienced with that age group.
